Google announced, on its official blog, the shutting down of my beloved Google Reader, among other products, citing decline in usage as the reason, albeit loyal following. Furious Reader fans are protesting on Change.org against the move although most think Google will stand by its decision.
There a loads of alternative RSS feed aggregators out there (but I still want my Google Reader!). Lots of suggestions and reviews have popped up all over the net. The most popular ones (in no order) are The Old Reader, Newsblur, Feedly, and Reeder.
I find Feedly my best alternative. Sadly it’s not friendly to my poor WAP 2.0 phone. Sigh.
These killed me though. 😀
